Cashlin leads a charmed life as one of the twenty Patrons of Regalia. Her job is to show off new products created especially for her. The Favored—the consumers—vote on their favorites, and they are put into production. Cashlin is so good at her job that she's been the Premier Patron for three quarters in a row. Besides the status, she gets the adulation of the Favored, and the best and biggest house—at least until the creative process starts over again.
The Cycle of Regalia is never ending. No one has ever tested the system... Until Cashlin sees a miracle that makes her wonder if there's something more to life than the newest item to sell; something deep and meaningful, a purpose beyond herself.
