Catharine "Cat" Carnahan grew up on the Erie Canal, working side by sidewith her father on their boat, towing freight from Albany to Buffalo. Gutsyand independent, she holds her own with the roughnecks who work the canal,including the brutal, lascivious Simon Maphis.
