Mooncalf isn’t like all the other cows he’s grown up with, and he’s never going to grow up to be a bull, either. He’s all wrong, somehow, and everyone lets him know it.Cast out into the wilderness, he dreams of one day finding his own kind… and in the meantime winds up having adventures with firedrakes and dragons, incredible jumping mice and a noxious witch called Betsie ‘Must-Dash’ Moustache.Sometimes the people who seem like they might be his friend turn out to be nothing of the sort, and some enemies (especially Fangle the Green Cat and Clucky Shortlegs) turn out to be surprisingly helpful.)
