While teen-ager Billie's grades fall off, her parents begin to ride their daughter in an attempt to get to the bottom of the sudden change. Mother harps and compares the girl to her sister. Father is usually out someplace. Boy friend Richard begins pushing for her to prove her love. In the midst of the furor, whether at school or home, Billie speaks to her diary. Outspoken old grandma is a woman of faith and makes no bones about it. Billie's pressures become so strong, she contemplates suicide. A family trial, an attempt to run away, and a happy ending gives this two-act script strong motivation and Christian conviction.
