This omnibus volume collects three early Matheson crime/suspense novels first published as paperback originals. This is the first time any have appeared in an English-language hardcover. SOMEONE IS BLEEDING was first published in 1953, FURY ON SUNDAY in 1953, and RIDE THE NIGHTMARE in 1959. Matthew R. Bradley's new introduction includes interview comments by the author. NOIR was issued in a signed/limited edition only. Two of the novels have been filmed. SOMEONE IS BLEEDING was adapted into the 1974 French-language film LES SEINS DE GLACE (Icy Breasts). RIDE THE NIGHTMARE has been adapted twice, first as a 1962 episode of THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR (with teleplay by Matheson) and later as the 1970 film COLD SWEAT, directed by Terence Young and starring Charles Bronson.
