(The fourth book in the Escaping the Church series)
A Story by

In a world where having multiple wives and up to a hundred children is normal, four siblings know they can’t continue to live that life. They don’t belong but it won’t be easy to get out, let alone live in the real world, and find jobs to support themselves. Escaping the Church is crucial to them finding happiness and love.

If there was one thing Luke knew, it was he didn’t belong with the church. The only reason he didn’t convince his twin sister Leanna to leave when they turned eighteen was to protect his younger sisters from their father. Now three years later, with Janna and Shanna having left and washing his hands of Hanna, he’s not about to stick around and risk their father pushing Leanna into a marriage to make a point. The new world they discovered easily suited him, but with his past, he wasn’t about to go out and sleep with any woman that passed by. He was only going there with one woman, he just had to find her still.

He never expected to find her talking to Leanna, but the redhead drew his attention in ways no one else began to. His reactions to sweet Aimee’s flirtation wasn’t overly shocking, but it was a slight surprise to learn his girl was four years older than him, let alone that she had her own twin brother. Thankfully, it looked like her brother was manning up when it came to Leanna, which meant he could see if this girl were really the one for him. His anger when her flirtation turns to another man while out has him leaving with her, furious that he’d fall for another girl that was just playing, another girl that liked to collect all the men she could. Or was she? Because when he can’t stop from laying a kiss onto her, it’s not what he expects and he’s more determined than ever to figure out how to make her his.

Aimee can’t stand guys that try to push and control, so she goes for younger guys that won’t do it. When she sees Luke’s photo though, she can’t deny the urge to meet him, and wrings an invite to a party from Leanna. Meeting Luke in person was so much better than a photo, other than the fact that he ignored her most of the time. With each hour that passes, and he barely shows his interest to her flirting, she grows more resigned to the fact that the one man she wants, doesn’t want her back. A rogue flirt with another guy at the bar to boost her spirits has an unexpected outcome when Luke drags her out of the bar. The second he kisses her she knows she’s done, and she can’t begin to argue whatever he does with her.

Her biggest fear of never finding someone she’d want quickly dissolves and when she wakes the next morning, the real Luke is in the blasé one’s spot, and she falls entirely for him. The more she learns of him, the harder she falls until she can’t begin to imagine a life without him, especially when he builds little things that make her happier than ever.
