This Child of Mine

Sophie, Mandy, Anna and Laura - two daughters, two mothers and a story about the ferocity of motherly love.

Sophie is a happy 18-year-old living in London with her Irish mother, Anna. Anna has devoted her life to her daughter. It may be just the two of them - no dad or grandparents or uncles or aunts - but Anna has more than enough love and has worked hard enough, to give Sophie everything she could ever need or want.

Laura is a not-so-happy 36-year-old artist. She too has a daughter, Mandy, but she is haunted by the loss of her first child, Jody. Happy-go-lucky as she is, Mandy lives in the shadow of that loss and the fact that her mother, uncle and grandmother have never recovered from it.

Both Anna and Laura are hiding devastating secrets about the past and about the moment their paths crossed before. But some secrets cannot stay buried and when all is revealed the results are explosive - not just for them, but for their daughters' futures and the lives of everyone who cares about them.
