A RIVER THROUGH TIME

Nothing in Gwen Jones' life is going right. Fourteen year old Gwen's used to change, to going from place to place, even moving from her native Canada to Australia - but that's when her mother was OK. Before The Change...and the visions started happening. And before the black rain began to fall...and her mother retreats into a strange, unreachable world, and Gwen herself is thrust into a new family - having to make new friends, and learning new things. Magic things. Scary things. How can Gwen save her mother? Who is the old man who keeps appearing to her in visions? Who is really behind it all? And, just who is Gwen, really? Could she really be Guinevere, Queen of Camelot? And just what does that mean? Well, it all adds up to magic, danger, romance, suspense and mystery! Guinevere Jones is a 26 part television series currently screening on Network Ten each Friday at 4pm. A co-production between Crawford Productions Australia and Canadian companies Original Pictures and Ibis Entertainment, the series also screens on YTV each Saturday at 8pm and each episode is repeated the following Friday at 8.30pm. Canadian author, Elizabeth Stewart, who has written nine of the first twenty-six episodes, conceived the idea for the Guinevere Jones series. The show is filmed at one of Melbourne's most interesting sites; the 120-year-old Heritage listed St Hellier's Convent, and its cast members include sixteen children, aged from eight to seventeen. Guinevere Jones is played by 17-year-old Canadian actor Tamara Hope, and Merlin by veteran actor Ted Hamilton.
