Hand set and printed by Toni Savage in a limited edition of 125 copies. 1 to 85 on cornflower blue Sheepstor hand-made paper. 86 to 125 on white Sheepstor hand-paper. This iten numbered 110 on white paper. Sheepstor hand-made paper approximately 10 by 8 inches (25 by 20 cm). New Broom Press was the brainchild of Toni Savage, a former opera singer, folk-club enthusiast and friend of Spike Milligan. With his own hand press, Toni Savage was at the heart of a revival of broadsheet printing in Leicester in the early 1960s. Toni Savage published hand printed broadsheets, pamphlets and handmade books. Toni Savage's publications were hand set and printed by hand on a small flat bed press, which he described as "One step up from John Bull'. Terence Alan Milligan KBE better known as Spike Milligan, was a comedian, writer, musician, poet, playwright, soldier and actor of Irish parentage and dual Irish and British nationality.
