Blackburn Ranch

(2023)
A Novella by

All Sophie Blackburn ever wanted was to escape her boring life on a ranch in South Dakota. Sick and tired of cows, fences, dirt, and cowboys, she dreamed of a life in the city with sky-high buildings, endless sidewalks teeming with people, and a sophisticated man who didn’t own a single pair of cowboy boots.
She found everything she was looking for and more in Seattle but she still wasn’t really happy. A boyfriend who spent more time than her getting ready, and a job she didn’t love, she was once again daydreaming of an escape. When a tragedy forces her to return home from her big city life, she’s torn between moving on, and coming home.

Grant Evans was born to be a cowboy. A natural in the saddle and everywhere on the ranch, he dreamed of living life on the range with the one girl who was always just out of reach. Sophie Blackburn was everything he’d ever wanted. But she was also the boss’s daughter and wouldn’t give him the time of day. When she left for college and stayed away for over a decade, he assumed he’d never have the chance to win her over.
Life dealt Sophie a hard hand and when she returned home to take care of some family business, Grant knew this was his second chance.

Could he win her heart before she runs again?
