Living in the historic family home—somewhat of a relic—known as Marigold House, nerdy librarian Lake Marigold is a bit of an oddity. A homebody at heart, she prefers books and hanging out with her dogs to dating. That is until Linus Canfield catches her eye. Although a skilled first responder, Linus hasn’t had much luck in the romance department. That all changes when he finally makes his move on the practical, down-to-earth Lake with the help of his newly adopted dog, Farley. An impromptu meeting at Murphy’s Market turns into a whirlwind adventure of love and murder. Together, they set out to tackle the impossible—find the person responsible for a string of murders.
