A new story is brewing around the world and Eve wants to cover every moment of this Coronavirus on her news broadcasts. She cannot travel to China to get her story, so she forms a network of people who can provide her information. The reporter fire in her is burning strong and she wants to work right to the end of her pregnancy.
Shawn gets a call from an inside informant at an oil sands mine that there is something amiss – he needs to get to Fort McMurray in a hurry. He does not want Eve to go with him on this story as it is too dangerous with her being so far along in her pregnancy, but she bribes him, so he relents. They get into a dangerous situation and Shawn is shot – just like the incident that took Graeme away from Eve years ago. She is devastated and calls Danai in Africa to help her but is terrified she will lose Shawn as well. Eve’s feelings about Shawn are evolving, but she is not sure into what. She cannot lose another man that she…loves…it would kill her.
