While the Bells Ring

"I won't give my consent to her getting wed to Bram, no, not while the bells ring." Thus spoke Rich Armistead in court, furiously refusing to give permission for his daughter, Jane Ann, to marry Bram Paterson. For there is a deep and bitter feud between Armistead and Black Bram, and no possible likelihood that the enmity between them can be resolved. So Jane Ann takes matters into her own hands, with results which are at the same time both dramatic and somehow comical.
