Murder for Sale

The man jerked out a gun and fired once. Ann swayed dizzily, her head cracked violently against the wall and she sprawled unconscious. That was the first murder. Chief Superintendent Martin of New Scotland Yard told himself it would be a simple job - he had a good description of the killer, and Ann's brother was obviously in hiding. A second murder soon altered that idea. From then on Martin was led into a web of bribery, theft and more murder...
