Steve Corey had worked for Brigham Young. He knew the Mormons had come west seeking a place where they could live in peace. But that summer of '57, the news came back to Fort Leavenworth of the terrible massacre at Mountain Meadows - and there were men who would swear that the Mormons had been responsible. But Steve had friends in Salt Lake City who he knew could have had no part in any massacre.
