Range of No Return

Range of No Return contains two of D. B. Newton's finest Western short novels, notable for their fine characterizations and historical accuracy. "The Claim Jumpers" tells the story of Bill Emery who is taking part in the Cherokee Land Rush, looking for a homestead. "Range of No Return" is the story of Herb Cole and his struggle to rebuild his herd and his reputation after allegations of cattle rustling. When the situation looks like it could not get any worse, someone murders rancher Jed Giboney - and before he dies, Jed points to Herb as his killer, inflaming every rancher on the range.
