Storm in a Teacup
Catering their first joint event, a sixteenth birthday party at the local rowing club, Lilly and Abigail let their creative juices flow, determined to make it the talk of the town. But the celebration soon becomes notorious for all the wrong reasons when a lifeless body is washed up on the shore of the lake. Lilly begins to investigate but as her sleuthing picks up speed she realises there’s another life in danger and it becomes a race against time to stop a second death.
High Tea Low Opinions
It’s election time in Plumpton Mallet and for the first time in years, the mayor has a rival. Lilly and Abigail are hired to provide a luxury high tea for a council fundraising event. It’s a triumph. But at the end of the night all success is forgotten when a body is found. Lilly’s sleuthing reveals bitter rivalry and animosity beneath the polished exteriors of the town’s officials, but it’s not until she pieces together the final clue that she realises what happened.
But to catch the killer, she’ll have to set a trap. And there’s no guarantee it will work.
Green with Envy
The annual amateur artist competition is a huge event for Plumpton Mallet and this year Lilly is invited to be a judge. But there’s a pall of envy hanging over the town and, to her shame, Lilly is not immune. The event starts well, but disaster strikes when a body is discovered. Then things get worse. Lilly urgently needs to solve the case. But how can she investigate when she’s locked in a cell?
