Grief is something that has never sat well with seasoned Houston PD cop Thomas Cade. Cade is a beat officer, who lives from day to day, drinks at night, keeps his head down and hopes that tomorrow will be a better day.
Since the death of his daughter, the experience has left his marriage in shreds, his mind in turmoil and a city cop living on the edge of sanity.
Paired with a new partner who comes with a shadowy past, they start on the wrong footing. He wants to know more about Cade, but Cade stonewalls him.
Cade knows the streets of his district like the back of his hand, and an ordinary day of patrolling his beat becomes personal when he responds to a domestic disturbance call.
