Pete Wakefield comes back to his homestead claim to try to square things with himself. He had allowed himself to be run off by a bully who then diverted the creek and ran his cattle on Pete's land. Pete is going to stick it out this time, even if it means helping out a kid who put his rope on someone else's calf.
