Rob Nesbitt, an ex-firefighter from South Wales in the UK, ventured into writing fiction in early 2020.
A successful cartoonist, Rob has extended his creative output from pen, ink and watercolours to the written word and has published four novellas in his U-SAM sci-fi adventure series, with a fifth in the series to be published in late 2023.
His new Morton Scientific Investigation Series kicks off with 'Beneath' his first full length book published on Amazon in late July 2023.
Unlike his U-Sam sci-fi adventure series, the new series is Earth bound and based in Morton-in-Marsh, a small Cotswold town in the heart of England, which Rob chose as the focus for the series, after spending six months in the town back in 1991, when he attended several back to back fire officers training courses at the British Fire Service College.
'Arrival', the next book in the series was published on 25th November 2023. The Moreton Scientific Investigation team are sent to an alien emergency landing site in a remote Welsh reservoir. This rapidly developes into a series of murders, alien possessions and a 'whodunnit' chase through England and Wales to prevent an all out invasion of the planet.
'Transformation' the third book in the series is available to pre-order on 25th November 2023 prior to publication in July 2024. After several alien rock samples are stolen from the new 'Museum of Alien Life' in London and the murdered thief's body is found in Limehouse Basin, the team are asked to investigate strange and worrying deformities in fish stock at the nearby Regents Canal. Ben Sharman and his vivacious assistant Claire find themselves flown to Nevada by NASA and Homeland Security to investigate similar weird deformities of wildlife and humans, transforming them into something unworldly.
Rob's writing style is to build original, exciting, page turning stories with great characters and an injection of humour. The main focus for him is to allow the reader to visualise and build the scenes in their own mind without overdosing on description to keep the storyline, action packed, fast-paced and the pages flying.
Rob Lives in the small village of Nelson, just North of Cardiff, married with wife Joanna, and has two children Holly and Matthew with a first grandchild due in February 2023.
