Ultraviolet has the eeriness and Milla Jovovich-sex appeal of Resident Evil, the stylish precision of the Matrix, and the non-stop intensity of Kill Bill.Set in a futuristic urban metropolis, this sci-fi action-adventure tells the story of a sub-culture of humans who have been modified genetically by a vampire-like disease, giving them enhanced speed, strength, and intelligence. Labeled "Hemaphages," the disorder has set them apart from ordinary healthy humans and societies, who have declared them a hazard and are now hunting them down. The conflict escalates to the brink of civil war between the human government and the enhanced diseased populace. Caught in the middle is one such infected woman, Violet (Milla Jovovich), who finds herself protecting a nine-year-old boy, named Six (Cameron Bright), whose life is in grave danger. Violet's athleticism, drive and outrage, make her a formidable barrier between Six and the extremists from both sides of the conflict, who seek to use his unique genetic make-up to eliminate the other. However, they have strongly underestimated Violet and her razor sharp survival instincts.
