Toxic waste has leaked from a chemical plant into a nearby river and all the local residents are being forced to move…except Thomas, a twenty-one year old man who is refusing to leave his home.
Not only has he lived in this house for as long as he can remember, but it’s also the place where his mother died and where he keeps two African Land snails as pets. With no place to go once he is evicted, Thomas has no other choice but to set his two giant snails free into the wild, even though they are an invasive species.
But this is the least of Thomas’s problems as now that his two pet snails are free, they head straight for the toxic polluted river…and what returns from its murky waters is a mutant species of snail that only wants one thing…human flesh and bones!
A standalone short horror story (3,300 words approx.) to give you nightmares just before bedtime!
