Jake's friend Holly can see how his houseproud mother makes his life misery, but she envies his beautiful home and designer clothes. Holly's parents keep open house for down-and-outs, and barely seem to notice their own daughter - except when there's a job to be done. When they give her bedroom to a homeless family, it is the lst straw. The two children decide to run away, in the hope of bringing their parents to their senses - but little do either of them realise what trouble lies ahead.
