I look forward to this casual off-road trek every year, and have since I was a kid. It’s the last chance to scale some boulders, splash in the mud, and descend steep slopes before the rain turns to sleet and snow.

But dang, if I don’t get distracted by the guy in the Jeep behind me. He makes my body tingly and nervous.
