Sun, Surf and Murder
(2022)(The first book in the Rosie Ryan Cozy Mysteries series)
A novel by Darrell Pitt
This was a cute murder mystery.... A lot of quirky character's.... It was a fast read & most enjoyable.
A female reporter. A hunky cop. A cute dog.
A baffling mystery.
Did Edna Crayborne really see a woman getting strangled in the ground floor window of the old Bailey house?
Rosie Ryan isnt sure. As a journalist with the Cape Carson Gazette, Rosies always on the lookout for a big news story. And the Bailey house does have a reputation as the most haunted house in town. After all, its the place where the infamous Bailey killings happened all those years ago.
Of course, thats old history now. Or is it? Why did other guests in the house hear three gunshotswhen the gun was only fired twice?
Rosies determined to discover the truthand she doesnt have to do it alone. Helping her out is her quirky librarian friend, Kim Chen who is also determined to get Rosie a new boyfriend. Fortunately, there's a hunky new cop in town, Todd Parker, although he's more interested in finding criminals than finding a girlfriend. Then there's Rosies sassy eighty-three year old Grandmother, Nan Ryan, who is busily man-chasing as well!
Rosies trying to catch a killer. But if shes not careful, she could become the killers next victim
***There's no swearing, sex or gory stuff in the Rosie Ryan Mysteries (although Rosie has been known to burn the dinner on occasion).***
It's a fun whodunit with interesting characters, odd plot twists, and red herrings that knocked my sox off. Looking forward to more!
Genre: Cozy Mystery
