Harbor Bay Times Freelance reporter Skyler Avery might be onto her biggest scoop yet! While attending a major Nom-Party for Pulitzer Prize candidates, gossip writer Hildie Mcguire suddenly drops dead. The culprit? She's been poisoned! The Lotus Bay-based gossip columnist was top-of-the-food chain in her neck of the woods. Everyone knew it, but everyone also knows obtaining such a title does not come without getting your hands dirty. Hildie had made many enemies, and it seems one or more of them finally decided to take her out for good.

Skyler is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. Enlisting the help of friend Nichole Chambers, the two are set out to unmask the guilty party.
