When Marie Blake first cathces a glimpse of Leon Navarre buying shrubs at the garden nursery where she works, she is immediately attracted by his unusual good looks. Further acquaintance increases the attraction and causes a rift in her relationship with Russel Aynsley who had expected to marry her. Her world falls apart when she discovers that Leon is about to be married to someone else.
