. Calvin Pierce has worked as a proofreader, editor, jazz musician, music teacher, waiter, line cook, and piano tuner. He is the author of the Ambermere fantasy trilogy, published in New York by Ace in 1992/93. In 2002/03 the Moscow publisher Eksmo released a Russian translation of the three books in hardcover editions.
In addition to the trilogy, two shorter works are also now available as e-books. “Meals On Wheels” is a short story that first appeared in the magazine Midnight Zoo. “Sahib” is a novelette that was included in “Little Deaths,” an anthology that was later published in Germany as “Fieber—24 dunkle Geschichten,” and in France as “La Petite Mort—Anthologie érotique de littérature fantastique.”
The author grew up in Harrisburg Pa., and has lived in New York City, Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Columbus Ohio. He is currently to be found back in Harrisburg, where he lives with his wife, Diane, and their cat.
