Tincup in the Storm Country

The Tincup cattle ranch is in the high ranges of the storm country in Colorado, near the border with Utah. Tincup is owned by Raoul Joliffe and his son, Mart. The previous year there was trouble with a sheep rancher from Utah, John Robineau, who moved his sheep herd into Tincups graze. This attempt at range theft was settled without human bloodshed, but Robineaus sheep were destroyed. Even if Tincup was in the right, Mart Joliffe carries with him a sense of guilt over what happened. Yet this was only the first of several personal ordeals for Mart Joliffe.
