It’s not like having his goaltending dreams go up in smoke is anything new. Justin’s entire life has been one big disappointment after another. Growing up poor as dirt and jumping from one foster family to another didn’t exactly build his confidence. And now the only woman he’s ever loved doesn’t seem the least bit upset about his moving across the country.
Stefania “Stevie” DeLuca was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, but she’s busted her rear end to become a successful professional soccer player, much to her parents’ disappointment. They’d rather she get serious about taking over the family business, a string of professional dance studios. Forging her own path has had its pitfalls and disappointments, causing Stevie to guard her heart and pretend she doesn’t do that whole love thing.
But all it takes is one sheepish grin and a dance to turn her world upside down. Until he leaves, unknowingly taking her heart with him.
