After the heartless way Max Heger had treated her, Selena didn't ever want to have anything to do with him again. He wasn't of her world, and she didn't want to be part of his. So she ran off to Devon where he would never find her. But he did find her - at any rate, he turned up again out of the blue,on her very doorstep. At least, Selena thought, it might give her an opportunity to be revenged on him. But things didn't work out quite as she had planned...
