Vietnam, Watergate, the struggle for racial equality, and a revolution in sexual behavior - these are some of the ethical problems that confront us in the late twentieth century. No longer willing to accept blindly the ethical judgments and standards of others, we search for clearer judgments and more meaningful standards. ANd in the search, we call for a "return to morality". But the world cannot hope to "return to morality" or find moral leadership unless people can understand and agree on what morality is. This is the aim of the book - to give the reader a clearer understanding of morality. Perhaps clearer thinking cannot solve all the problems of this age, but it may help to show the way to better, more intelligent solution.s
