You can have your cake… and murder too

When Ruby and Bee arrive in Prattlebark Village, Vermont, they’re expecting an open-armed welcome from the locals. They’re selling a particularly delicious specialty cake on the food truck this week. Instead, they’re threatened with legal action by the mayor’s wife, who happens to own a restaurant down the street from their new spot.

The following morning the worst happens. The unlikable mayor’s wife is found facedown in the creek, and the baking duo are suspects number one and two. With a mean lady detective on their tail, cakes to sell to some seriously jumpy customers, and a suspiciously missing mayor to consider, Ruby and Bee have their work cut out for them.
