aka Sara Young

Sara Pennypacker, author of the Clementine books, was a painter before becoming a writer and has two absolutely fabulous children who are grown now. She has written several books, including Stewart's Cape and Stewart Goes to School, both illustrated by Martin Matje, and Dumbstruck. When she was in school, she never had any problem at all paying attention. Okay, fine. That last part was about somebody else. Sara lives on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Erin Entrada Kelly
"Hilarious and heart-melting."
thumb
The Halo Effect (2017)
Anne D Leclaire
"Like the series of paintings at its core, The Halo Effect is the story of families torn and reborn, a meditation on duality, and a masterwork lit by compassion. I'm telling everyone I know about this book."

Wolf Hollow (2016)
(Wolf Hollow, book 1)
Lauren Wolk
"The honesty of Wolf Hollow will just about shred your heart, but Annabelle's courage and compassion will restore it to you, fuller than before. This book matters."
