Sarah Porter was born in Michigan and grew up moving frequently. She spent her twenties traveling and writing unpublished novels, but eventually settled in Brooklyn, NY. Her stories and poems have appeared in various journals including Open City and The New Review of Literature. She lives with her husband and two cats.
