In the late 1800s, a caravan of gypsies stops at a saloon in South Dakota. They leave with the owner's daughter, Sahara. She finds herself in the middle of a gypsy kumpani, traveling the country by caravan and rapidly falling into the arms of the leader's son, Nicolae. Suddenly, pieces of her own past begin to fall into place. But will she be able to balance the culture of the gypsies with her love for a man she barely knows?
