Jon, Flora, and the Odd-eyed Cat

Jon wakes up and wonders if it was a dream - or did an odd-eyed cat actually visit him during the night? When he finds flower petals on his bed, he knows they're from a wreath the cat was wearing.

A few nights later a girl comes to claim the cat. Jon has just moved with his family to this southern state, and is recovering from rheumatic fever. He becomes drawn into Flora's fantasy world. Flora must hide during the day, so Jon finds a way to sneak out of the house to help Flora's plan to celebrate the summer solstice.

But when the real world intrudes, Jon knows he's in trouble. And for how long can Flora and her strange cat stay safe?
