Sometimes being alone for the holidays…
Can be murder.
When Eugenia Barkley made what she thought would be a temporary move from Los Angeles to a cabin in the Ozarks that she inherited from a mother she never knew, she hadn’t planned on not being able to decide whether or not she should sell the cabin.

The cozy cabin has her firmly in its warm and inviting grasp, but with winter coming, and the rest of the resort complex’s residents leaving for their permanent homes, those dearest to Eugenia advise her to leave.

Determined to discover more about her ultra-wealthy deceased mother, Eu stubbornly refuses to go, and is faced with being alone, aside from the eccentric local woman, Crappie Callie, who refuses to acknowledge her existence.

When the first snow comes, Eu is confident that she has everything she needs to survive for at least a few weeks and plans to supplement her food stash with fishing. It turns out that her situation becomes a bit more difficult than she’d imagined, and things only get worse when a murder victim is discovered near her favorite fishing spot.

Dealing with deputies who are convinced that she’s trouble with a capital T and trying to keep her chin up while living in near total isolation, Eu realizes that the only way she’ll be able to prove her innocence is by doing her own sleuthing and hoping that the real perpetrator doesn’t come after her in the process.

It’ll be a Christmas to remember, as Eu struggles with solving a murder, surviving the winter, and dealing with the emotional impact of her quest to discover more about her mother and herself.

Can she bait the perpetrator and reel in a killer? Find out in this poignant Holiday Cozy Mystery!
