Out of the list of favorite things I wanted to do this holiday season, falling for the
tycoon threatening to expose my lie wasn’t one of them.
All I want is a few days of rest—some time to escape the pressures of 6 a.m. practices,
sponsors, athletic coaches, and most of all, my Dad-ager (dad and manager) to constantly
perform, especially with the highly anticipated X Games coming up in a few weeks.
A few days off during the holiday season is exactly what I need to regroup. I savor the idea
of sipping hot chocolate, eating my weight in gingerbread cookies, and hitting the slopes at
my leisure—just like when I was a kid.
Yes, I might have told a small, white lie to get my break.
