The Movie vs The Novel
This adaptation of 'An Egypt Affair' is based on the author's original screenplay for the movie. Although director Marlin Darrah's plot idea is common to both formats, they feature significant differences in most of the scenes and in the overall storyline. The author hopes readers who view the movie will enjoy comparing the two.

'An Egypt Affair' has garnered a number of awards including 'Best Screenplay' for author Will Patching and 'Best Action Movie' at the Rome International Film Festival.
NB. Not a traditional romance novel
This novel represents a departure from the author's previous dark thrillers. He usually takes the reader on a deep dive into the minds of psychopathic characters and the evil they do, but this novel is different.
Even so, please note, it is not a traditional romance tale. Will has taken the director's original idea and worked his magic to twist the story into a realistic neo-noir romantic suspense thriller.
