The Blue Monarch��s curse is destined to keep Petra and Fenris apart, which means of course that Petra is determined to find a way around it at any cost!
That search leads her to a new reality and a city called Driftholme which is perpetually at war with its vampiric neighbors. The barrier between dreams and reality is much thinner in that realm and Petra figures that she can find a way past the blocker Morpheus has put in place.
That quest quickly gets swallowed up by more urgent needs, however, as Petra and her team find themselves embroiled in a centuries-old war with Petra herself playing the part of spy all in the hope of recovering a lost artifact which might be the key to her being reunited with Fenris.
It goes just about as well as you’d expect.
