This collection of poems is written in a conversational tone and in the persona of a modern young woman who travels, observes, and writes. The poems frequently reveal snatches from a personal story-friends, relations, and lovers appear and disappear, and urban scenes come and go. Dealt with are three separate themes. The first touches on love in various forms and at various moments, the second and central theme has a German focus and is more disturbing and somber, and the third section explores the life of a writer in momentary glimpses.
