Sometimes, it’s better not to know.
I thought the destruction of The Whispers would free me and I’d be able to live my life in peace. I was wrong. So very, very wrong.
Kai Maddox, the head of the West Coast Gryphon clan, wants me to find his fiancé, who disappeared somewhere in Denver. I try to tell him that I don’t have the skills for that sort of job, but the next thing I know, I’m on a plane headed east. At the airport I spot a man I’m sure I know, only to realize he’s a stranger. That same stranger shows up at the bed-and-breakfast that’s the last place Kai’s fiancé was seen.
Then he starts showing up in my visions. Some very strange visions.
Someone else is also showing up in my visions. A man engulfed by fire who doesn’t burn.
I feel drawn to the first man.
The second one scares me to death.
