Andrew Ridker recommends

Smokebirds (2025)
Daniel Breyer
"Fans of Succession should flock to Smokebirds, a riveting, read-it-in-one-sitting debut novel about one uber-wealthy family's very bad vacation. Breyer's debut is buoyant and incisive - a beach ball wrapped in razor wire."

Goddess Complex (2025)
Sanjena Sathian
"Sanjena Sathian's remarkable new novel is as clever as it is unsettling, at once horrifying and hilarious - Rosemary's Baby, if Rosemary could freeze her eggs. An utterly contemporary psychological thriller about motherhood, identity, and doubles, Goddess Complex establishes Sathian as an indispensable writer of our generation."

I'll Come to You (2025)
Rebecca Kauffman
"Ordinary lives are rendered with extraordinary insight in I'll Come to You, a novel as delightful as it is darkly funny, at once caustic and profoundly compassionate. Rebecca Kauffman, where have you been all my life?"
