Candice Ransom, who has never wanted to be anything else besides a childrens book writer, has published 110 books for children and young adults.
Her work includes board books, picture books, easy readers, chapter books, middle grade fiction, tween fiction, biographies, and nonfiction. More than 45 of her books have been translated into 12 languages.
She is an accomplished speaker and has delivered keynote addresses at many reading council conferences, library conferences, and writers conferences. In 2008, she spoke at the International Reading Association annual convention and the Texas State Reading Association annual conference. In 2009, she was a keynote speaker at the Virginia State Reading Association annual conference. She regularly travels to schools to talk about her books.
