On his way to deliver prisoners to the federal jail in Muscogee, Bass sees a woman in one of the town’s restaurants and he recognizes her as Mamie Larkin, a woman wanted for the axe murder of her husband. After delivering his prisoners, he goes back to arrest her, but she’s skipped town. Not one to let any wanted fugitive get away, Bass gets on Larkin’s trail and is determined not to return home until he catches her.
