Action, adventure, and non-stop page-turning Western adventure from three of the most acclaimed authors in the Western genre work together once more! Robert Hanlon, Charles Ray and J.W. Masterson are in the saddle, and one exciting new Western sequel will ensue!

United States Marshal Jake Timber and Deputy United States Marshal Bass Reeves have a big problem. A few months prior, the two lawmen caught up with the notorious Farnum gang and killed them in a bloody gunfight, except for gunfighter Wade Morgan, who gave himself up. Serving a life term in prison, Morgan swore he would get out someday and kill Timber and Bass Reeves.

With the help of a mysterious benefactor, who arranged for the gunman and his three cell mates to escape from prison, the man offered Morgan a large sum to kill the two marshals. With the help of some of the man’s gunfighters led by a man named Crow, one of the mystery man’s top men, Morgan and the others escaped from Huntsville State Prison. Crow led them to a secluded cabin where they were provided with new clothes, guns and provisions. Morgan and the enigmatic Crow created a plan to kidnap one of the Reeves’ children and send a note to the deputy marshal that they would be in Paris, Texas waiting for him.

While Crow and some of his men headed for Arkansas, Morgan and his fellow escapees took off toward Austin, Texas to find Timber and finish him off. Morgan and the others figured their plans were foolproof, but they didnt take into consideration the resourcefulness, intelligence, and just plain grit the two lawmen possessed.

Timber and Bass Reeves ride the revenge trail to save Bass’s son and eliminate the men who took him.
