Chasing a confidence man from Virginia City, Nevada Territory, Rusty comes to the little mining town of Comston, where he learns that his prey has probably hooked up with a local gang that hides out in the nearby mountains. Comston’s sole lawman, Town Marshal Milton Douglas finds out the gang plans to rob the bank and assay office and he pleads with Rusty to help him the defenseless town.
Rusty became a bounty hunger because he wanted to avoid a regular job, especially one that pays so little, but the owner of the bank offers him a handsome reward if he’ll help. Busty loves money more than he hates the boredom of a steady job, so he agrees.
That’s when the fun begins.
