100 years after World War III . . . the earth lay in ruins, its survivors wallowing in squalor and ignorance. Yet there was a ray of hope on the horizon - a summit designed to unite all the warring factions against a common enemy - the Soviets and their mutant allies. THE WARRIORS . . . led by Blade, had pledged their lives and honor to protect the leaders of the summit. They had formed a steel ring around the abandoned amusement park sealing it off. Not a cockroach would get past them. THE ASSASSINS . . . were as dedicated and deadly as the Warriors, fierce beasts masquerading as men.
