1940. Recently returned from the beaches at Dunkirk, Ted Dexter, Churchill’s personal agent, finds himself undergoing training for his new role: parachuting, unarmed combat and weapons drills. He’s beginning to rue his decision to accept the new role.
It was the PM’s flattery which ensnared him, and now his boss, Brigadier Murray, was sending him off on his first mission – to assassinate a German officer. If anything, this was a practice run for future missions, but Ted’s main objection was his destination.
He was being sent back to the place from which he had just escaped.
He was going back to France…
Genre: Thriller
